Custom Orthotics in SE Calgary

Custom orthotics are specially designed shoe inserts made to support your feet based on their individual structure and how you move.

At Douglasdale Family Chiropractic, we use Footmaxx technology to assess your foot mechanics and gait, helping us determine whether custom orthotics may be appropriate for you. Our goal is to provide support that fits your feet, footwear and daily activities.

Who Might Benefit From Custom Orthotics?

Custom orthotics may be helpful for people experiencing foot discomfort or concerns related to how their feet function during walking, standing and other activities.

Some common reasons people consider custom orthotics include:

  • Plantar fasciitis and heel pain

  • Flat feet or high arches

  • Overpronation or excessive foot rolling

  • Arch pain and foot fatigue

  • Certain ankle, knee or lower-limb concerns

  • Discomfort associated with prolonged standing or walking

  • Not everyone needs custom orthotics. A biomechanical assessment can help determine whether they may be appropriate for your individual needs.

How Our Footmaxx Assessment Works

We use Footmaxx technology to assess how your feet function while standing and walking. This biomechanical assessment helps identify pressure patterns and movement characteristics that may influence your comfort and mobility.

If custom orthotics are recommended, we'll explain the findings, discuss your options and arrange for orthotics designed around your assessment.
